Med-Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Assignment in Columbus, Ohio

  • Float Requirement: May float within the organization as needed
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
  • BLS certification required
  • Strong rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia management skills
  • Experience with chest tubes, IV therapy, PICC line care, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions
  • Comfort supporting adult and geriatric patients
  • Ability to work rotating day and night shifts
  • ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing education required
  • Two professional references required
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients with a variety of general medicine and complex diagnoses
  • Monitor telemetry, recognize rhythm changes, and respond appropriately to dysrhythmias
  • Perform and assist with common med-surg procedures, including IV starts, Foley care, PICC line management, and chest tube care
  • Support patients with interventions such as oxygen administration, rapid response activation, and substance withdrawal monitoring
  • Collaborate with physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and other interdisciplinary partners
  • Float to different units within the organization as needed while maintaining safe, efficient patient care
  • Deliver compassionate, detail-oriented care in a fast-paced, team-based environment
