Job description

About Snaju & DartNode
Snaju Inc. is a Texas-based technology firm building the infrastructure that connects ground to orbit. We operate DartNode (AS399646), a US-based hosting provider and ISP with a high-capacity backbone powered by Juniper hardware and four primary points of presence: Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, and Orlando.
Beyond terrestrial networking, we build mission-critical software for active space operations. Our portfolio includes flight heritage on Firefly's Blue Ghost lunar mission and ongoing mission control support for the International Space Station. Both sides of the house are managed by our Global Network Operations Center (NOC) located near NASA's Johnson Space Center. Our NOC team is the heartbeat of our company, managing a global hosting footprint while simultaneously supporting live space missions.
About the Role
We are looking for NOC Operators to join our 24/7 Global NOC Team. At Snaju, the NOC is more than a support layer. It is a core part of our global operations. You will be deeply involved in networking, space mission support, and high-level customer interaction.
We want to hire people who are genuinely excited about how the internet works, eager to help customers solve complex problems, and ready to grow with a company expanding into new frontiers.
What You'll Do
  • Drive Global Operations: Act as a core member of the team monitoring the health of our global network, including BGP sessions, link state, and traffic patterns across our four datacenter POPs.
  • Support Space Missions: Monitor dashboards for active space missions and ensure mission-critical systems remain online by escalating anomalies according to documented procedures.
  • Empower Customers: Serve as the primary point of contact for our hosting and ISP clients, handling everything from provisioning and technical support to outage resolution.
  • Maintain Security: Triage and mitigate security events, including DDoS attacks and abuse reports, to keep our infrastructure and customers safe.
  • Coordinate & Execute: Work with datacenter remote-hands teams and internal engineers to resolve incidents quickly while ensuring detailed logs and status updates are maintained.
Candidate Requirements
Experience & Skills
  • 1+ years in a technical role such as IT Help Desk, MSP, Desktop Support, or NOC.
  • Networking Fundamentals: A solid grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, and routing. You should be comfortable reading a traceroute and understanding network paths.
  • Linux Basics: Comfort using the command line with tools like ssh, ping, dig, and basic file navigation.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills. You can explain technical issues clearly to customers and team members.
Role Necessities
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident: This is required for aerospace compliance.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Reliable transportation to our Houston NOC located near JSC.
  • Commitment to a fixed, on-site shift schedule.
What Stands Out
  • Certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, or Network+.
  • Passion Projects: If you have a home lab, run your own server, or experiment with virtualization, we want to hear about it.
  • Experience with monitoring tools like LibreNMS, Grafana, or Zabbix.
  • A background in shift-based environments such as Military, Emergency Services, or Industrial Control.
Why Join Snaju?
  • Real Impact: You are not just closing tickets. You are managing production BGP and supporting active lunar and orbital missions. Your work directly impacts the success of our clients and our partners in the space industry.
  • Built for Growth: We are a growing company and we want you to grow with us. We provide a documented progression ladder designed to move you into Network Engineering or Security roles within 18 to 24 months.
  • The 2-3-2 Schedule: Our 12-hour shift rotation means you work 7 days every two weeks and have every other weekend completely off from Friday through Sunday. It is a fixed schedule for either Days or Nights that offers better work-life balance than a standard 5-day week.
  • Collaborative Environment: Work in a modern Houston office with a full kitchen, private courtyard, and a team that values technical curiosity and peer support.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay: $20 to $29 per hour based on experience plus night shift differentials.
  • Health & Wellness: Medical insurance with employer contribution.
  • Retirement: 401(k) eligibility.
  • Perks: Paid time off, holiday premiums, certification reimbursement, and meal stipends for shift workers.
How to Apply
Submit your resume through this listing. In your cover letter or message, please answer the following question:
Tell us about the most interesting thing you've fixed or built outside of work. Whether it is a home server, a Raspberry Pi project, a custom PC, or even a mechanical project, what were you trying to achieve, what went wrong, and how did you figure it out?
We read every response. We are looking for problem solvers who are passionate about technology.
