This is a temporary part-time job-share position based at Wyong Hospital. This role carries a clinical caseload and oversees a team of staff working across neurology, aged care, cardiac and general medical inpatient units. Looking to backfill Mondays and Tuesdays of job-share role.  

This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with notice in alignment with the applicable Award. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

About the Opportunity

As a Physiotherapist Level 3 you will plan, coordinate and deliver high-quality, evidence-informed clinical physiotherapy care to patients/clients and their families/carers with Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will provide leadership to a clinical team as required. Clinically supervise Level 1/2 Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants and students and actively engage in education/training and continuous improvement initiatives.

In this role you will:

  • Provide high-level, evidence-informed clinical service to clients/patients, their families/carers and other health professionals.
  • Exercise independent professional judgement in solving problems and managing cases.
  • Plan, implement, evaluate and report on services to promote effectiveness and efficiency of clinical service delivery.
  • Maintain a high intensity, varied and complex clinical workload whilst maintaining clinical expertise.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelors or postgraduate degree in Physiotherapy and registration as a Physiotherapst with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency.
  • Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • High level of broad generalist and/or specialist knowledge within physiotherapy.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct clinical supervision, but also effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and guide and support others in service excellence.
