The role is onsite at a well-equipped hospital, where you will become part of a multidisciplinary team that includes physical therapists, physicians, and nursing staff. • Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing tailored treatment plans for patients, ensuring adherence to the prescribed therapeutic goals.
• Deliver direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as heat, cold, or electrical stimulation.
• Document patient progress meticulously and communicate changes in the patient’s condition to the supervising Physical Therapist promptly.
• Motivate and encourage patients during their rehabilitation journeys, providing emotional support and guidance to help them stay engaged and proactive in their recovery.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment, adhering to all safety protocols and standards.
• Educate patients and their families on proper body mechanics, home exercises, and other relevant therapeutic techniques to aid recovery.
• Monitor patient safety at all times during treatments, ensuring that exercises and activities are performed correctly to prevent injuries.

As a PTA at Ortho Detox Physiotherapy, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your role will involve understanding the unique challenges faced by each patient, tailoring interventions that improve mobility and function, ultimately leading to better overall health outcomes.

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Active and valid PTA licensure in the state of Washington.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with the healthcare team and positive relationships with patients.
• Strong organizational abilities and time-management skills to handle a fluctuating caseload efficiently.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapy Assistant in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with specific rehabilitation techniques, such as post-operative recovery or sports rehabilitation, will be advantageous.
