SUMMARY

Firefly is seeking an experienced Physical Security professional to lead the development and evolution of our enterprise physical security program. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, overseeing security technology, guard force operations, workplace violence prevention, and physical risk management across the organization. The Physical Security Lead will report to the Director, Security.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive physical security program, including policies, procedures, and protocols that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducting risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential threats and implement effective mitigation strategies across all sites.
  • Identify emerging physical threats and implement proactive mitigation plans.
  • Design and implement a security awareness program to foster a culture of safety and preparedness throughout the organization.
  • Creating and managing incident response plans for physical security breaches, ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Evaluating and coordinating new security technologies and systems to enhance the organization's overall security posture and support future growth.
  • Manage badge issuance, access provisioning, and credential lifecycle across all sites.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for local law enforcement during site emergencies.
  • Lead the organization's workplace violence prevention and threat management initiatives, partnering with HR, Legal, and leadership to assess and mitigate potential risks.
  • Coordinate security logistics for high-profile corporate events and executive travel.
  • Manage third party guard force and audit performance, post orders, and response times.
  • Architect and manage the organization's physical security posture, including the deployment and optimization of Access Control Systems (ACS), CCTV, badging system, and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
  • Lead physical security projects and initiatives, coordinating with Facilities, HSE, IT, HR, Legal, and business stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 5–7+ years of experience in corporate physical security, law enforcement, or military security.
  • Demonstrated experience in physical security technology, guard force management, executive protection, investigations, incident management and threat/vulnerability/risk assessments.
  • Deep hands-on experience with enterprise security platforms (e.g., Envoy, Milestone, Software House, Lenel).
  • Able to develop and implement physical security best practices, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.

Desired

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Emergency Management, or a related field.
  • Active CPP (Certified Protection Professional) or PSP (Physical Security Professional) or other certifications.
  • US Government security clearance.
  • Experience with SCIF construction and ICD 705 Technical Specification.
