Job description

ABOUT THE TEAM
The Security Operations Team consists of Security infrastructure, guard force operations, and crisis management. Our mission is to safeguard Anduril's people, assets, and operations through integrated security solutions that encompass proactive risk management, crisis preparedness, actionable threat intelligence, thorough investigations, executive protection, and 24/7 global monitoring. We are committed to anticipating and mitigating risks, responding immediately to incidents, and fostering a resilient security culture that enables Anduril to innovate and operate confidently in a dynamic global environment.
ABOUT THE JOB
As Anduril continues to expand its presence and operational footprint in the Northeastern region, we are seeking an experienced, highly autonomous, and proactive Northeast Physical Security Manager. You will own the day-to-day management of all physical security operations across Anduril's facilities within the Northeastern region. You will serve as the principal subject matter expert and primary driver for regional physical security, commanding comprehensive oversight of our contracted guard forces, designing and executing rigorous physical security assessments, and ensuring robust security frameworks protect our personnel, assets, and sensitive defense operations. This is a high-impact opportunity to design, scale, and mature physical security initiatives in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Regional Strategy & Execution: Own the physical security roadmap for Anduril's Northeast region. Translate global security objectives into localized operational strategies, ensuring regional resilience and compliance.
  • Guard Force Governance: Manage and govern contracted security guard forces across the Northeast. Establish, refine, and enforce SLA/KPI frameworks, lead high-level vendor reviews, and ensure a premier level of guard readiness and professionalism.
  • Site Security Ownership: Act as the primary owner for day-to-day physical security operations across all Northeast Area of Responsibility (AOR) sites, proactively identifying operational gaps and implementing scaling solutions.
  • Advanced Risk & Vulnerability Assessments: Design and conduct comprehensive physical security assessments of all Northeast facilities. Evaluate complex access control systems, perimeter security, CCTV, intrusion detection, and visitor management, delivering executive-ready risk reports and remediation roadmaps.
  • Risk Mitigation & Threat Management: Identify regional threat vectors and develop proactive, data-driven physical security mitigation strategies to safeguard critical assets and classified environments.
  • Financial Stewardship: Oversee and optimize the regional physical security budget, forecasting financial requirements, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring efficient capital allocation.
  • Crisis Leadership & Incident Command: Act as the regional security lead during critical incidents. Partner closely with the broader Global Security Operations team, Facilities, and local site leadership to manage crisis response and business continuity efforts.
  • Investigations & Threat Intelligence: Lead complex regional physical security investigations, write detailed incident reports, and establish preventive measures based on root-cause analysis.
  • Cross-Functional & External Influence: Build trusted partnerships with site leadership, Facilities, EHS, Legal, HR, and government compliance teams. Serve as Anduril's primary liaison to local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies in the Northeast region.
  • Compliance & Technical Oversight: Ensure all regional security measures comply with Anduril's global standards, as well as federal government compliance standards (e.g., NISPOM, ICD 705) where applicable. Guide the implementation and scaling of physical security technology and integration projects.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in physical security management, with a proven track record of managing multi-site regional security programs and large contracted guard forces.
  • Demonstrated experience operating with high autonomy, managing complex security operations across geographically dispersed corporate, manufacturing, or defense facilities.
  • Deep expertise in conducting physical security risk assessments and designing risk-mitigation frameworks for high-value or high-risk assets.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million dollar regional security budgets and negotiating vendor contracts/SLAs.
  • Advanced knowledge of modern physical security technologies, including enterprise-grade Access Control Systems (ACS), Video Management Systems (VMS), and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
  • Proven ability to lead crisis management operations and incident response in high-pressure environments.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence senior business leaders and technical partners.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in the defense technology, aerospace, or government contracting sectors.
  • Active U.S. Government Security Clearance (Secret or TS/SCI).
  • Industry-recognized professional certifications (e.g., ASIS Certified Protection Professional [CPP], Physical Security Professional [PSP]).
  • Strong regional network with local law enforcement, emergency management, and private sector security peers in the Washington, DC and Northeast corridor.
