Vantor, Inc. is looking for an experienced security officer to join our team, fulfilling an Armed TS/SCI position. Security officers work 8-hour shifts supporting both our Westminster and Longmont offices. This position may require night shift work.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute all Vantor Physical Security policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that the work environment is safe and well-maintained.
  • Interact and aid employees, contractors, visitors, and fellow officers.
  • Preparing Passdown, incident, and Daily Activity reports
  • Monitor security surveillance systems.
  • Create, issue, and collect employee identification badges.
  • Grant, remove, and audit area access utilizing applicable database(s)
  • Carry, operate, and communicate using radio communications.
  • Investigate and report hazards, unusual, or suspicious circumstances in the workplace.
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to protect against theft, damage, and harm.
  • Patrol classified and unclassified premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of entry points.
  • Support security training and briefings.
  • Conduct end-of-day security checks.
  • Conduct classified area open/close procedures.
  • Safeguard classified materials
  • Protect combinations and access to security containers, cabinets, vaults, closed areas.
  • Protect and maintain inventory of keys, locks, and electronic access control devices.
  • Escort personnel throughout the facility, including classified areas.
  • Provide immediate response to emergency scenarios including hostile acts, threats of violence, natural and manmade disasters, medical emergencies, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and must be willing to undergo a CI polygraph examination if requested.
  • Must be 21 years or older and willing to carry a firearm and non-lethal weapons as directed.
  • Must be able to make the right decisions swiftly and possess excellent communication and observation skills.
  • Must possess satisfactory public relations and customer service skills, sufficient to allow positive interaction with Vantor employees, visitors, law enforcement agencies, and the public.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Officers must be able to climb stairs and ladders, run short distances, and patrol exterior grounds on foot for extensive periods of time. These duties may need to be carried out in inclement weather conditions, including snow, ice, and excessive heat. Officers may be required to use force in response to emergency situations that may place their personal safety at risk, and will be trained on proper use of force, de-escalation, self-defense, and response procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current adjudicated CI or Full Scope polygraph.
  • 2-4 years of customer service experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in physical security, military, first responder, or security services.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with access control and intrusion detection systems.
  • Experience with security surveillance systems.
  • Working knowledge of deadly force and use of force law, de-escalation tactics, medical response procedures, and crisis communication

Pay Transparency: To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range. The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidate's experience, expertise, and alignment with the role.

The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $33.75 - $45.00 - $49.50 hourly.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
