This Physical Security Coordinator is responsible for making sure that the equipment used to secure these facilities is always in good working order and monitors the physical security of the structures in the bank network. The individual is responsible for associate's access for all facilities, assists in the branch security assessments, security training and security projects. Supports activities involved in the preservation of the organization's security in all areas.
Job Description
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Monitors all perimeter access throughout the FFB network.
  • Oversees the card access control system, record and maintain records for persons added and deleted from the system while maintaining records of unauthorized, not programmed and bad pin entries.
  • Responsible for issuing and tracking physical keys.
  • Responsible for alarm monitoring, testing, awareness and cost efficiency. This includes sending alarm zone lists to monitoring and also updating the afterhours alarm call out sheet with branch additions and deletions. Liaison for monitoring company and branches on local after hours alarm issues. .
  • Partner with project teams on design of new security systems in facilities and other security projects.
  • Assist in branch security assessments.
  • Supports activities involved in the preservation of the organization's security in all areas.
  • Development and implantation of tools, systems, and metrics to support Physical Security
  • Provides guidance and standardization in developing security programs, outlining measures and procedures for handling robberies, access to buildings, opening/closing, and alarm managements.
  • Implements training programs regarding security of personnel, assets, and equipment, monitors security orientation and training for new hires, and supports installation, operation, inspection and maintenance of security devices.
  • Provide training and functional guidance to assigned staff and supervisors regarding security equipment.
  • Requires ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information.
  • Answer security telephone and safety hotline calls and respond in a timely manner based on priority. Must be available to assist in afterhours and weekend calls.
  • Coordinates third party provider software and service for physical security. Additionally, manages the third party relationship, including but not limited to invoice accuracy and reconciliation, technician communication and issue tracking.
  • Coordinates special assignments as assigned. Assumes responsibility for special projects, gathers data, and prepares for management, and research on assignments.
  • Follows up within scope of own authority; drafts letters, memos, and various reports; gathers and organizes data.
  • Responds to inquires or refers inquires to the appropriate department or person, while exhibiting the necessary follow through.
  • Other Duties as assigned.
