Description
  • Evaluate patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings and devise personalized treatment plans
  • Implement physical therapy interventions emphasizing mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
  • Collaborate seamlessly with nurses, doctors, case managers, and fellow rehabilitation professionals to enhance outcomes
  • Educate patients and their families about therapeutic objectives, discharge planning, and home exercise programs
  • Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress according to facility and regulatory protocols
  • Participate in care team meetings and interdisciplinary conferences to assure cohesive care delivery
Education
  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or other equivalent degree from an accredited institution
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • Preferred: CPR certification
  • Additional certifications (e.g., in neurology or geriatrics) are beneficial but not mandatory
