Please note that this is currently a contract position and does not include benefits. However, there is potential for this role to be converted into a full‑time salaried position in the future, depending on business needs and performance.

Summary

The Senior PHP Developer is responsible for leading and executing the design, development, and maintenance of PHP‑based applications, with an emphasis on leveraging Azure cloud solutions. This role involves participating in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to testing, deployment, and documentation. The Senior PHP Developer is expected to bring a deep understanding of software engineering principles, along with experience in cloud architecture, to develop high‑performing applications that meet business needs. This position requires an individual who can work independently, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, and contribute to cross‑functional project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Application Development and Design:

    • Lead the review, analysis, and modification of PHP‑based applications and system components, focusing on encoding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
    • Design, develop, and implement scalable, secure PHP applications and system components aligned with industry best practices.
  2. Cloud Integration and Azure Expertise:

    • Utilize Azure cloud services to develop, deploy, and manage applications, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
    • Work with cross‑functional teams to integrate Azure cloud solutions effectively within applications and support system migrations as needed.
  3. Full Software Development Lifecycle Participation:
