Join our dynamic team as an Art Director for JanSport (Global), where you'll ignite your creative vision at the forefront of design and innovation. As a key player in our company, you'll help lead a team of designers, nurturing their talents to craft compelling visual experiences. From initial brainstorming to final execution, you'll oversee the entire creative process, ensuring our brand identity shines through in every detail. Collaborating seamlessly across departments, you'll transform marketing objectives into captivating visuals, while also spearheading photo and video shoots to capture our brand essence with stunning imagery and dynamic storytelling.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate, challenge and enrich brainstorms and ideation processes across clients and deliverables-generating clear ideas, concepts and executions

  • Work with account, strategy and creative teams to ensure the design vision is executed in a consistent, on-brand and world-class manner, ensuring high standards for design quality

  • Be a true product expert, focused on holistic, product-driven narratives that showcase the innovation of both brands while elevating seasonal product collections & emerging technologies that define our unique brands within the Global Pack's space.

  • Work in lock step with the Ecom, Retail and Brand teams to ensure seasonal consistency in art direction across multiple categories.

  • Collaborate, challenge and enrich brainstorms and ideation processes across clients and deliverables-generating clear ideas, concepts and executions

  • Work with account, strategy and creative teams to ensure the design vision is executed in a consistent, on-brand and world-class manner, ensuring high standards for design quality

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you'll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in 3-5 years of experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your creative abilities and design versatility.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

  • High proficiency in contemporary design tools: Adobe Creative Suite, Premier Pro, Figma, GIF creation, advanced photography skills, video editing experience a plus.

  • Previous experience in productions showcasing art direction for both photo and video

  • Retouching and recoloring of assets

  • Strong understanding of market trends, consumer insights, and cultural nuances to create impactful and relevant designs

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey concepts and ideas to team members and stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, layout, and color theory.

  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for staying current with design trends and innovations.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while juggling multiple projects and deadlines.

$73,440.00 USD - $91,800.00 USD annually
