Job Summary:
The Machine Operator operates one or several lithium-ion battery cell production machines within a variety of departments, including many clean-room environments. Machine types may be inspection, and conveyance machines. Operators also perform related machine and work area upkeep (5S), material movement, conduct basic analysis and sustain production logs. Operators work across a team to ensure safe and high-quality product. In this role, you will be required to maintain active communication with co-workers and Maintenance Technicians for quality and production related issues. When necessary, elevate these issues to management or the appropriate personnel. Maintain shift logs and QC records for the assigned areas. The individual must work and comply with safety working standards, practice, and all environmental regulations in addition to all company rules and policies.
Essential Duties:
  • Operate one or several lithium-ion battery cell production machines. Machine types may be inspection, and conveyance machines
  • Operate and start-up the machines
  • Ability to identify problems and minor troubleshooting
  • Delivery of materials to production floor
  • Ability to analyze, estimate workload and perform multi-tasking
  • Assist Maintenance Technicians in preventative maintenance procedures such as equipment clean up
  • Monitor processes and perform continuous image inspections and visual quality checks of the products to ensure acceptance standards are met
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to use material bar code scanners
  • Be-able to follow work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Prepare documentation as required
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area "6s" (Sort, Shine, Set-in Order, Standardize, Sustain, Safety)
  • Understand department workflow, processes & be detail oriented
  • Excellent communication with co-workers both verbally and written
  • Must adhere to company rules and policy.
  • Comply with all environmentally safe practices and regulations

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
  • To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a requirement for some roles at PECNA and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.
