Member Experience Associate

Location: Brighton, MI

Pay: $18.00+ per hour (based on experience)

Job Type: Direct Hire

Work Schedule: Full-Time, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM. First 6 months are ALL ONSITE in Brighton, then will move to a hybrid role (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday onsite).

About the Opportunity

Reliance One, Inc. is seeking a Member Experience Associate to join a growing financial services team in Brighton, MI. This customer-focused role serves as the first point of contact for members calling with questions regarding accounts, loans, debit card applications, and other financial services.


The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong computer proficiency, and the ability to navigate challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy. Prior call center experience is not required, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates with retail, hospitality, banking, or customer service backgrounds.


Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for members, providing exceptional service and support over the phone.

• Assist members with questions regarding accounts, loans, debit applications, and other financial products and services.

• Resolve member concerns through effective problem-solving and conflict resolution.

• Build strong relationships by actively listening and identifying member needs.

• Educate members on available financial products and services that support their financial goals.

• Open and maintain deposit accounts, including specialty and business accounts.

• Identify opportunities to recommend additional products and services that benefit members.

• Educate members on consumer loan and credit card options.

• Originate, process, and close consumer loans.

• Accurately document member interactions and maintain records within company systems.

• Collaborate with team members to support departmental goals and deliver an exceptional member experience.

• Adapt to new technologies, processes, and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• 1–2 years of customer service experience in retail, banking, hospitality, financial services, or a related field preferred.

• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.

• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

• Call center experience is not required.
