Job description

Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist

Location: Tallahassee, FL

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing respiratory care to patients, including intubation, arterial line insertion, and assisting with bedside bronchoscopy. The therapist will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer aerosol treatments and manage BiPAP and ventilator care.
  • Participate in daily nursing unit department rounding.
  • Utilize advanced technologies including Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators and Philips V60 +.
  • Collaborate with multiple disciplines to enhance patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
  • Experience in ICU, ER, and critical adult care preferred.
  • Ability to perform necessary procedures within the respiratory therapy scope of practice.
  • Weekend rotations are required.
