Job description

Boutique aesthetic plastic surgery practice in the Coral Gables section of Miami formed by a renowned board-certified plastic surgeon is seeking a preoperative coordinator for a full-time position.


Responsibilities

Job duties include reviewing patient charts before surgery to ensure all lab work, doctor clearances, and surgical consents are complete and in the patient charts for surgery. This job offers a tremendous opportunity for growth to an ambitious and motivated individual who wants to grow with the surgeon and advance over years with future possibilities for management. Great opportunity to gain medical experience for an early career individual preparing to become a nurse or for a mature individual seeking a permanent position with stability in the medical field. Positive team attitude and strong ability to interact with other co-workers and patients in a plastic surgery clinic is required. Very relaxed working environment. Excellent English oral communication is required. The candidate must be organized and work well within a structured system to make sure patients are cleared and ready for surgery; these responsibilities will be shared with a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) who will help ensure patients are good candidates for surgery. There are currently only a maximum of 4 patients that need to prepared for surgery per day for a total of 4 - 5 operative days per week (maximum 16 - 20 patients per week). Hours are from 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday, so there are consistent hours with a desirable weekday business hour schedule. No weekends or nights required. Additional opportunities to work beyond those hours within the clinic are available and welcomed.
