The Assistant Director of Campaigns & Philanthropy serves as the entry point into Place of Hopeโ€™s Campaigns & Philanthropy Division, designed to develop future advancement leaders through hands-on experience in donor engagement, philanthropic prospecting, stewardship, campaign support, community outreach, and relationship development. This position supports the Senior Vice President of Campaigns & Philanthropy and Directors of Campaigns & Philanthropy by helping identify, qualify, cultivate, and steward prospective donors, foundations, sponsors, and community partners. The Assistant Director plays a critical role in building the fundraising pipeline that fuels Place of Hopeโ€™s long-term growth while gaining the skills, experience, and community relationships necessary to advance into future leadership positions within the Campaign & Philanthropy Division.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent relevant advancement and development experience and three years relevant experience
  • Strong general knowledge of advancement in an organization
  • Flexibility to manage various advancement responsibilities
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written
  • Computer proficiency: Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Identify and research prospective donors.
  • Assist with donor qualification and prospect development.
  • Build prospect lists for major gift, campaign, and annual fund efforts.
  • Help move prospects through the donor engagement pipeline.
  • Conduct foundation research.
  • Prepare background materials for foundation cultivation efforts.
  • Assist with grant support activities.
  • Track foundation deadlines and engagement opportunities.
  • Attend community networking events.
