Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, maintaining an active and unrestricted pharmacist license.
  • Oversee daily prescription processing and dispensing activities following standard operating procedures.
  • Manage pharmacy personnel, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and maintain efficient pharmacy workflows, identifying areas for process improvement.
  • Ensure accurate inventory management, overseeing the purchase and supply of medications.
  • Address patient order concerns proactively and provide necessary follow-ups.

  • Monitor and report key operational metrics related to prescription processing.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, shipping/receiving clerks, and interns.
  • Handle recruitment, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and employee development.
  • Foster a positive work culture and ensure high team performance.

Qualifications:
  • Must be registered as a Licensed Pharmacist in the state which work will be conducted and must also have multiple active unrestricted state licensures or be eligible to become licensed in states in which patient pharmacy services are provided.
  • Obtain and maintain all required pharmacy licenses and permits, including out-of-state permits (AL, AK, AR, FL, GA, ID, IA, IL, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MS, NE, OK, OR, TN, TX, VA, WV).
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmacist experience.
  • One year of supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Experience in retail or mail-order pharmacy preferred.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of 340B programs is a plus.

Education:
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in pharmacy.
