Job description

Hematology/Oncology opportunities with this level of infrastructure don't show up in rural markets very often.
The CMH Oncology Clinic in Bolivar offers a fully developed cancer care environment - including a dedicated oncology pharmacy, experienced RN coordinators, specialty pharmacy support, financial counseling, social work services, and participation in both local and regional tumor boards.
The clinical foundation is already built. The referral patterns are established. The support systems are in place.
What's needed is a physician who wants to practice comprehensive oncology, build lasting relationships with patients, and provide high-level cancer care for the communities across the 8 counties we serve.
This opportunity is a partnership between Central Care Cancer Center (CCCC), a physician practice group serving Kansas and Missouri, and Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH), a physician-led, independent, not-for-profit rural health system. Physicians are employed through CCCC, with clinical operations and local support provided through CMH's established oncology program.
The Role
Specialty and Setting:

  • BC/BE Medical Oncologist / Hematologist
  • 100% outpatient; no inpatient chemotherapy
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. - with flexibility in scheduling
Clinical Environment:
  • Established hem/onc practice with strong regional referral patterns
  • Balanced clinical mix across oncology and hematology
  • Dedicated onsite oncology pharmacy
  • In House Radiation Oncologist
  • In-house tumor board
  • MRI, PET, pulmonology with bronchoscopy available in-hospital
  • Support team: RN coordinator, financial counselor, specialty pharmacy personnel, social worker, 5 APP's
  • EMR: InnoMed | AI Scribe Available
Call:
  • Shared, nurse-triaged; light burden.
