Job description

Position Summary
Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) is a trusted partner of federal health agencies. We are exploring adding a highly experienced Lead Pharmacogenomics to support a high-profile federal precision medicine and pharmacogenomics (PGx) initiative. This role will provide strategic leadership, clinical implementation expertise, and stakeholder engagement support to facilitate the adoption of pharmacogenomic programs, clinical pathways, and decision-support tools across multiple healthcare sites.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive healthcare project management experience, a strong understanding of clinical operations, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders including physicians, pharmacists, laboratory professionals, and healthcare administrators. This individual will help design scalable implementation strategies, optimize clinical workflows, and support the integration of evidence-based pharmacogenomic practices into patient care. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to nationally significant healthcare transformation efforts while advising federal stakeholders on best practices for clinical implementation, workflow design, and sustainable program adoption.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage pharmacogenomics (PGx) initiatives across multiple sites and/or virtual environments, ensuring successful implementation and adoption.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of clinical pathways, workflows, and toolkits that incorporate pharmacogenomic best practices.
  • Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, pharmacists, laboratory personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the review and interpretation of pharmacogenomic information, including drug-gene interactions and associated clinical implications.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to facilitate clinical discussions, gather feedback, and drive consensus on PGx-related initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of clinical decision support tools and processes.
  • Evaluate and apply evidence-based pharmacogenomic guidelines and resources, including CPIC, PharmGKB, DPWG, and FDA labeling.
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders to support project goals, implementation activities, and long-term sustainability.
  • Provide strategic recommendations and scalable solutions to advance pharmacogenomics programs and clinical integration efforts.
  • Monitor project milestones, risks, dependencies, and outcomes to ensure timely and successful delivery of objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Public Health Administration, Health Management, Nursing, Health Administration, or a related healthcare field.
  • Demonstrated project management experience within a healthcare environment.
  • Experience implementing new clinical pathways, processes, or workflows involving multidisciplinary stakeholders.
  • Experience managing and leading cross-functional or multi-member teams.
  • Knowledge of pharmacogenomics principles, including drug-gene interactions and their application to clinical care.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based pharmacogenomic guidelines and resources, including CPIC, PharmGKB, DPWG, and FDA labeling.
  • Experience with clinical workflow design, process improvement, or toolkit development.
  • Experience supporting the development or implementation of clinical decision support tools.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide strategic guidance and develop scalable, sustainable healthcare solutions.
  • Ability to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship
  • Ability to obtain a public trust
