We are hiring a Production Planning Manager. The Production Planning Manager will be responsible for managing the production schedule, manufacturing capacity planning, and periodic reporting of key metrics for multiple business Production Sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with S&OP / Master Supply Planner in detailed sales & marketing demand forecast and manufacturing output projections. (Planned vs Actual)
  • Collaborate cross functionally with Production, Procurement, Master Data, Warehouse, Product Line Managers and Quality Departments as needed to ensure customer demand needs are produced timely.
  • Track and analyze finished goods inventories for Off The Shelf (OTS) finished goods by categories and work to maintain optimum monthly inventory levels and minimize Back Orders
  • Partner with Demand Planner to capture special materials purchase requests and ensure proper charge back of materials plus tracking of reason codes in the event of customer cancellation or decides not to use the materials for any reason.
  • Provide and maintain detailed master production schedule (MPS) for all products for FUJIFILM Biosciences in CA.
  • Maintain data and communication for manufacturing dates with Sales software applications.
  • Lead weekly Supply, Demand, Inventory (SDI) review meeting to ensure production product process orders are created to align supply with demand.
  • Process monthly scrap reports for approval and coordinate the discard of all expired materials across multiple FUJIFILM Biosciences production sites.
  • Create and distribute the 12 week Master Production Schedule (MPS) to all business stakeholders on a weekly basis.
  • Develop and implement logistics and planning tools through MS Project, PowerBI, spreadsheet and relational databases for supply chain, procurement and operations teams.
  • Create and maintain planning and logistics metrics to enable process improvements.
  • Establish planning parameters, minimize variability, and align materials management, demand planning and sourcing to ensure minimum financial impact and uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
  • Support changes in BOM, demand, and supply, perform planning assessment as needed; support raw material inventory and supply control as required.
  • Coordinate activities required to support the manufacture, packaging, labeling, shipping, and distribution of R&D, marketing, and manufacturing products.
  • Provides training and development, job assignments, performance evaluations, and supervision for department.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills/Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required
  • A degree with concentration in supply chain, operations, mathematics, economics, purchasing, or related life science or finance industry is preferred.
  • ASCM or ISM Certification is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 3 years of planning experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment or equivalent role is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of people management experience
  • Production scheduling experience in ERP system or other related inventory planning tools.
  • Competent and knowledgeable in utilizing best practices in inventory management, ASCM, or other supply chain organization experience.
  • In depth knowledge of materiel requirements planning and production scheduling.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • interpersonal, collaborative skills, and proactive problem solving through data driven analysis.
  • Operate with a sense of accountability.
  • Strong facilitation and influencing skills in a cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to communicate information efficiently.
  • Proficient in Project Management tools (e.g. MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Teams).
  • Ability to engage and interface effectively with senior management managers.
  • Self-Motivated.
  • SAP ERP experience preferred.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Excellent MS Office and MS Project skills
  • Ability to speak and read English.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely convey ideas to others.

Salary and Benefits:

  • For California, the base salary range for this position is $91,105 - $118,752. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
