Job Title: Associate Business Development Executive

Department:Business Development / Sales
Reports To:Director, Business Development


Position Summary:

The Associate Business Development Executive will support business development in driving revenue growth by identifying new opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and promoting the organization's pharmaceutical development and manufacturing services. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals passionate about life sciences and eager to develop a career in pharmaceutical sales within a CDMO environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation:

    • Research and identify potential clients in pharmaceutical and biotech sectors.

    • Supporting the Lead Generation Manager, responsible for seeking out, finding, and developing new business leads.

    • Assist in qualifying leads and maintaining accurate records in Salesforce.

  • Sales Support:

    • Prepare presentations under guidance from BD.

    • Manage PCI Site Visits, book rooms, organize internal attendees, collate slide decks and presentation materials

    • Coordinate with internal teams (technical, project management, manufacturing, quality) to ensure timely responses to client inquiries.

    • Attend client meetings, either face to face or via phone, generate comprehensive meeting minutes within two days of the meeting.

    • Respond to inquiries that come in via email, the website, by phone and/or through trade shows.

  • Client Relationship Management:

    • Support account managers in maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.

    • Follow up on client requests and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

    • Manage smaller, less complex accounts

  • Market Intelligence:

    • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.

    • Provide feedback to the sales team to refine strategies and offerings.

  • Administrative Tasks:

    • Maintain accurate documentation of sales activities and pipeline updates.

    • Assist in organizing trade shows, conferences, and client meetings.

    • Support and manage the submission of legal documentation such as CDAs or MSAs to both the PCI and Client legal teams.

    • Manage and support the administrative details of new client set up and quote execution and related tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Business, or related field.

  • Experience:

    • 0-2 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer service (pharmaceutical or biotech industry preferred).

    • Internship or academic exposure to pharmaceutical development/manufacturing is a plus.

  • Skills:

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to learn technical concepts related to drug development and manufacturing.

    • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.

    • Highly organized with attention to detail.
