Hours:Day Shift, Monday-Friday
PGEsupports 24/7/365 continuous operations for our Customers and Public.This role will be called uponat various timesto provide after-hourssupportourobligation of continuous service.
JobDuties,General Requirements, and Skills:
Demolish, install,wire,troubleshoot,and commissionall types, sizes,and voltages ofsubstationequipmentin a safe,professional manner.Assignments may includeretrofits,partial or full rebuilds, andgreenfield installationsacrossPGE'sdistribution, transmission,andgenerationsubstationfacilities.
The role requires personnel tobeoutdoors intheelements,workon the ground and at heights,andliftover 50 pounds.There may be opportunities to workextended hoursor weekends.
Performswitchingand tagging.
Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA requirements.
Support mentorship, safety conversations, and training.
Integrate witha constructioncrew andSUBOPSMeter-Relay, SCADA, and communication technicians.
Interact and communicatewithcustomers,thegeneralpublic, andotherPGE staff.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Those roleincludes an extendable 6-month probationary periodwith documented progress reports.
Required Certifications:
CurrentJourneymanWireman card with evidence of completion ofa Wireman Apprenticeship.
Possess andmaintaina CDLClass Adriver'slicensewith air brake and tankerendorsement.Mustpossessand maintain a valid driving medical card.
Wireman BProgram:
