About the role

We're looking for an Influencer Marketing Senior Manager to join our Audience Development team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Audience Development you will be responsible for shaping and executing on the company's influencer marketing strategy, overseeing the entire process from start to finish.

A key factor in growing awareness and brand love, you'll lead the development of influencer strategies that drive engagement and loyalty for Crunchyroll. Building relationships with key influencers and talent to create authentic content that resonates with the anime and anime-adjacent communities will be your core responsibility.

With a forward-thinking mindset, you'll also look to regularly expand our talent pool, ensuring that we are always reaching our target audience for any given initiative.

This role will be based in Los Angeles, California.

Core Areas of Responsibility
  • Develop and execute Crunchyroll's global influencer marketing strategy, ensuring it aligns with brand goals and focuses on partnerships with influencers and other key talent that will help grow awareness and brand affinity.
  • Lead the development of influencer activations for designated campaigns, including IP-specific support, conventions and live events, ecomm promotions, product partnerships and more.
  • Work closely with other internal teams (PR, Partner Relations & Content Marketing, etc.) to integrate influencer partnerships into broader campaigns and business objectives.
  • Analyze the success of influencer initiatives via identified key metrics, and optimize future campaigns to improve engagement and ROI. Provide regular reporting on campaign performance and learnings.
  • Manage relationships with influencer partners and agency contacts, ensuring consistency with contracts and rates across the business. Serve as the primary point of contact for influencer partners and their teams. 
  • Educate internal teams on influencer marketing best practices, and advocate for Crunchyroll's influencer strategy.
About You
  • You have 8+ years of experience in influencer marketing, celebrity partnerships or talent management, with a focus on entertainment or fandom industries.
  • You possess a strong network of influencer and content creator contacts, with proven success in building relationships that drive engagement and loyalty.
  • You have a deep understanding of social media platforms, content trends and the nuances of community-driven content.
  • You have a strong understanding of anime and entertainment fandoms, and understand how to engage both core fans and general audiences through authentic creator partnerships.
  • You are able to quickly identify emerging trends and strategize on how they can be utilized in a promotional yet fan-focused way.
  • You are confident in managing influencer marketing contractors and agency partners, identifying their strengths and distributing campaign assignments accordingly.
