Position Overview:

Personnel Security Specialist reviews investigation request documentation for accuracy and completeness and processes e-App packets for federal and contractor employees. They initiate the paperwork for background investigations, review the information submitted by the applicants, correspond with the applicants for clarifying information, are responsible for data entry requirements associated with each record, making case files, forwarding cases for processing, and submitting the e-App packet to be reviewed and forwarded to DCSA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review completed e-App forms and other related and necessary forms for the initiation of background investigations.
  • Assist applicants with correcting and completing personnel security documents.
  • Assist customers with e-App submissions, perform applicable entries into the HHS Program Support Center personnel security databases, coordinate fingerprint appointments if required, other clerical duties as required.
  • Review personnel security documents to ensure accurate processing.
  • Support communication between employers, customers, and the subjects of the investigations as needed.


Qualifications:
