Job Summary:

They are seeking an experienced Product Manager to enhance the IXL experience by collaborating across teams to develop effective product offerings that address educational challenges. The role involves understanding user needs, managing project execution, and driving product strategy.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Deeply understand the needs of our student, teacher, and parent users, and advocate for user impact throughout all phases of prioritization and product development
โ€ข Build and fine-tune intuitive product flows that create a smooth and seamless user experience; identify, diagnose, and reduce friction
โ€ข Solve large, complex problems by developing elegant solutions that address user needs and align with broader product strategy
โ€ข Produce clear, thorough written specification for all feature functionality and user flows
โ€ข Collaborate with visual designers to create engaging, effective user interfaces
โ€ข Work with engineers to align technical designs and decisions with product needs
โ€ข Coordinate and drive execution; manage project schedules and work collaboratively across the development organization (design, engineering, QA) to ensure smooth and timely product enhancements and updates
โ€ข Anticipate, identify, and communicate project status and risks to key stakeholders, including the senior leadership team
โ€ข Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to inform product decision-making
โ€ข Work closely with Marketing team on product marketing strategy and execution

Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Computer Science, or a related field
โ€ข 5+ years of product management experience, or a combination of product design and project management roles; strong track record of delivering high quality, efficient, creative solutions to tough problems
โ€ข Exceptional analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills
โ€ข Excellent written and verbal communicator, with an eye to clarity and conciseness
โ€ข High degree of user empathy for teachers and learners, understanding how they will interact with a product and what will and wonโ€™t appeal to them
โ€ข Excellent project management and organizational skills, with proven experience leading multiple complex projects simultaneously
โ€ข Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across teams to make things happen
โ€ข Curiosity, open-mindedness, and an unfailingly positive attitude
Preferred:
โ€ข Interest in K-12 education! Classroom/teaching experience is a plus
