Job description

We are looking for a Back of House (BOH) team member who can work late night (7pm to 3am) shifts (weekend availability preferred). The dishwasher position controls the cleanliness of all dishes and dish areas. This position must possess an energetic personality to ensure the good vibes of the BOH stay high. This is not a kitchen position that requires previous experience, we just need a good attitude and a willingness to learn. They must be aware of menu items and specials and be able to occasionally answer phone calls for customer orders and/or questions. They will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and cookware using both machines and manual methods. They are attentive to the BOH atmosphere and efficient in maintaining kitchen hygiene. Ability to curate a dope playlist is bonus points.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • BOH personality hire capable of sanitizing dishes in a timely manner.
  • Loading, operating, and unloading commercial dishwashers, as well as handwashing larger items.
  • Answer the BOH phone & take call in customer orders.
  • Adhere to proper sanitation, cleaning, and health and safety procedures.
  • Assist with closing duties, which can include sanitizing cooking and food preparation stations.
  • Monitor dishwashing machines to ensure they are functioning properly ad report any issues.
  • Sweeping & power washing kitchen floors; cleaning walls & work surfaces.
  • Maintain high quality & efficiency in the dish areas.
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and dining room personnel.
  • Customer Service Skills & ability to work well with others.
  • Basic PC knowledge & familiarity with Point of Sale systems.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism at all times.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Be able to communicate and understand English.
  • Strong organizational & prioritization skills.
  • Ba able to reach, bend, stoop & frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours.)
  • Late night availability is required.
