Position Overview 
The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing and servicing an assigned book of personal insurance clients while supporting the retention growth of agency relationships. This role works closely with clients, insurance carriers, and internal teammates to provide proactive service, coordinate renewals, review coverage needs and deliver insurance solutions that align with clients' evolving needs.
The ideal candidate is detailed oriented, technically proficient, responsive, and committed to delivering an exceptional client experience. Most importantly, you are a relationship builder who enjoys helping individuals and families protect what matters. most 

What You'll Do
Client Service & Account Management 

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned personal insurance clients. 
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service. 
  • Advise clients regarding policy changes, coverage options, endorsements, billing questions, and insurance solutions. 
  • Process policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, evidence of insurance, and other servicing requests. 
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels. 
  • Assist clients with claims reporting and coordinate with carriers to support the claims process. 
  • Maintain complete and accurate client records within the agency management system.


Renewals & Account Retention 

  • Manage the renewal process for assigned accounts. 
  • Review renewal policies for accuracy, coverage adequacy, and client needs. 
  • Present renewal options and discuss coverage recommendations with clients. 
  • Identify cross-sell and account rounding opportunities when appropriate. 
  • Coordinate with carriers to secure competitive solutions and maintain strong retention levels. 
  • Ensure all renewals are completed accurately and within agency timelines. 


New Business Support 

  • Assist with quoting and placement of new personal lines accounts. 
  • Gather underwriting information and prepare carrier submissions. 
  • Prepare proposals and coverage comparisons for clients. 
  • Obtain signatures, required documentation, and completed applications. 
  • Support Producers and referral partners in delivering a seamless client experience. 


Coverage Analysis & Compliance
 

  • Review client insurance programs to identify potential gaps in coverage. 
  • Educate clients regarding available coverages and policy enhancements. 
  • Maintain compliance with agency procedures, carrier requirements, and industry regulations. 
  • Ensure all client files and communications are documented accurately and thoroughly. 


What We're Looking For
 


Qualifications
 

  • Active California Property & Casualty License required. 
  • Minimum 3 years of Personal Lines insurance experience. 
  • Experience managing a Personal Lines book of business. 
  • Strong understanding of personal insurance coverages including Homeowners, Auto, Umbrella, Renters, Condominium, and Recreational Vehicle policies. 
  • Experience working directly with insurance carriers and clients. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong customer service and relationship management abilities. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems. 


Preferred Qualifications
 

  • Experience with high-net-worth or affluent personal lines clients. 
  • Experience marketing personal lines accounts with multiple carriers. 
  • Knowledge of carrier underwriting guidelines and personal lines rating. 
  • Experience with Applied Epic or similar agency management systems. 
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
