Role Overview
As an Associate Renewal Underwriter, you'll focus on account and premium retention. You'll be empowered to build and grow relationships with our trading partners. You'll work across cyber, tech E&O and MPL lines of business. You'll also support senior underwriters in managing accounts and servicing clients.
Responsibilities
  • Underwrite, rate, price, and quote small businesses with limited underwriter supervision.
  • Solicit, review, and validate subjectivities/contingencies required for binder/policy issuance.
  • Process and issue binder/policy documents, loss runs, mid-term endorsements, and cancellations to our external brokers & partners.
  • Manage components of the policy renewal lifecycle, such renewal solicitations, resolving auto-renewal policy issues, and manual/revised renewal quote issuance.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for our third-party processing partner when they have questions or issues.
  • Facilitate system & process training for new organizational joiners.
  • Test new system functionality prior to it being released to the wider internal population in the production environment.
  • Assist underwriters and other users with documentation and resolution of system bugs.
  • Represent the underwriting team as an active & vocal participant in system & process enhancement discussions and requirement gathering sessions.
