Job description

Are you a high-level negotiator who knows how to maximize case value AND get clients to confidently say yes?

We are a fast-growing personal injury law firm seeking an elite Pre-Litigation Settlement Negotiator to take ownership of our settlement pipeline and drive maximum case outcomes.

This is not an administrative role. This is a performance-driven position for someone who understands case value, can apply pressure on insurance carriers, and can confidently guide clients to the right decision.

What You’ll Own

You will manage cases from demand submission through settlement or litigation decision:

  • Confirm receipt of settlement demands with insurance carriers and actively follow up
  • Track and manage demand status across a high-volume caseload
  • Analyze offers and identify leverage points to increase value
  • Negotiate aggressively and strategically with insurance adjusters
  • Clearly communicate demand strategy, offers, and expectations to clients
  • Advise clients on whether to settle or proceed to litigation
  • Drive client confidence and secure agreement on final resolution
  • Maintain accurate, real-time updates in our CRM (Filevine)

What You Must Be Exceptional At

  • Negotiation: You consistently push offers higher and don’t accept weak positions
  • Client Communication: You can simplify complex situations and build trust quickly
  • Case Value Analysis: You understand treatment, liability, damages, and leverage
  • Ownership: You take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks
  • Follow-Up Discipline: Nothing slips through the cracks

Requirements

  • Prior experience in personal injury (pre-litigation strongly preferred)
  • Proven ability to negotiate settlements with insurance companies
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Medical treatment and specials
    • Liability and damages evaluation
    • Demand packages and supporting documentation
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload without sacrificing quality
  • Tech proficiency with:
    • Filevine
    • Microsoft Teams / Microsoft Office
    • RingCentral

Compensation & Growth

  • Competitive base salary + performance-based bonuses tied to settlements
  • Clear growth path into senior negotiator / case strategist roles
  • High-performance environment with strong operational support

How We Measure Success (KPIs)

  • Average settlement value vs. benchmark
  • Negotiation lift (increase from initial offer)
  • Settlement cycle time
  • Client satisfaction and retention
  • File management accuracy and timeliness

Who This Is For

  • You thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
  • You take pride in winning negotiations
  • You are comfortable being accountable for outcomes

Who This Is NOT For

  • You prefer passive case management over active negotiation
  • You struggle with high volume or follow-up
  • You are uncomfortable advising clients on major decisions

Company Description

We are a large and successful personal injury law firm that is looking to add talented, hard-working people looking for long-term employment to our already successful team.
