Job Summary

Our clients firm is growing, and we’re looking for an empathic, experienced personal injury attorney to help their clients find justice and compensation for their injuries. You’ll handle the case file from start to finish with support from our team of highly skilled legal professionals. You should have excellent credentials, a minimum of 3 years of successful personal injury litigation along with trial case experience, and an authentic passion for helping people. Responsibilities

  • Handle a full caseload of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and catastrophic injury cases
  • Conduct client consultations, evaluate claims, and develop case strategies
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement demands
  • Negotiate effectively with insurance adjusters and opposing counsel
  • Represent clients in depositions, mediations, hearings, and court proceedings
  • Maintain detailed case documentation and ensure compliance with firm processes
  • Collaborate with paralegals, case managers, and support staff to drive case progress
  • Converse with clients, expert witnesses, supporting witnesses, insurance company adjusters, and medical providers to gather information
  • Settle on the clients’ behalf when appropriate and negotiate reasonable agreements
  • Evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to the team of legal assistants, personal injury paralegals, case managers, litigation paralegals, and legal secretary
  • Gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the case and conduct legal research on case law and premises liability

Qualifications

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Georgia (required)
  • 3–5+ years of personal injury litigation experience
  • Strong deposition, motion-practice, and courtroom advocacy skills
  • Excellent legal writing, analytical, and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple cases with discipline, organization, and attention to detail
  • Client-focused mindset with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of litigation strategy
  • Computer proficiency is essential
  • Up-to-date knowledge of personal injury law/ tort law, wrongful death, civil and family law, medical terminology, and medical malpractice is imperative
  • State license to practice law and State Bar Association membership is mandatory
  • Must be computer proficient
  • Three years of personal injury litigation or trial experience in wrongful death, medical malpractice, personal injury, or civil litigation practice areas is a necessity
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree
