Job description

A family of four living in the San Francisco area is seeking a full-time housekeeper to join their fully staffed team.  The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9am - 5:30pm, with some days potentially being 7am - 3:30pm, when needed. We are looking for approximately 40-45 hours per week.  Flexibility is required for occasional weekends, events, or support at the family’s vacation home with housekeeping-related tasks.  Someone who is proactive, organized, and attention to detail will be highly successful.  The family is not looking to relocate, so the candidate should already be living locally or within a commutable distance to the SF/Bay Area.  The role is hiring immediately. 

  • Keeping the household clean, organized, and in excellent condition
  • Maintaining and managing household inventories
  • Notifying the Household Manager of any necessary repairs in the home or with appliances
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and maintaining floors, carpets, rugs, draperies, and upholstery
  • Scheduling routine shampoo appointments for carpets, rugs, draperies, and upholstery as needed
  • Dusting, cleaning, and polishing furniture, fixtures, fittings, and surfaces
  • Emptying and cleaning trash containers and disposing of trash in a sanitary manner
  • Cleaning bathrooms, including basins, mirrors, tubs, showers, and related surfaces
  • Tidying rooms, making beds, and changing linens as required
  • Washing windows as needed
  • Watering houseplants as needed
  • Washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen and appliances
  • Sorting, washing, loading, and unloading laundry
  • Ironing and pressing laundry, including clothing and linens
