Familiarity with permitting software, GIS systems, and document management tools—as well as certifications like PMP or Certified Permitting Specialist—are often important. To address this, they often build strong relationships with local authorities and regulatory agencies, stay updated on legal changes, and leverage robust tracking tools for real-time permit status updates. Additionally, they collaborate closely with internal project teams, legal counsel, and external consultants to ensure all documentation is complete and submitted on time. This proactive, communicative approach helps anticipate issues and keep projects on schedule.
