Personal Lines Account Manager / Sales Associate

Location: Oakland, CA



Join our growing Farmers Insurance team in Oakland! We’re looking for a motivated Personal Lines Account Manager who enjoys building relationships, delivering excellent customer service, and helping clients find the right insurance solutions. This position offers a great balance of client service and sales, with opportunities to grow within the agency.



Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with new and existing clients to identify insurance needs and recommend coverage solutions
  • Make outbound follow-up calls and build long-term client relationships
  • Assist with policy changes, renewals, and billing questions
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge across auto, home, and other personal lines products
  • Proactively reach sales and retention goals through consistent client contact and follow-up
  • Accurately document client interactions and maintain up-to-date records



The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Be confident, professional, and self-motivated
  • Have a sales-driven mindset with a passion for achieving goals
  • Communicate clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing
  • Bring energy, positivity, and persistence to every client interaction
  • Stay organized and manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Have solid computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Office)
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred




Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)


License:

  • Active Property and Casualty insurance license (CA)
