How much do permanent data analyst jobs pay per year?

As of Jul 7, 2026, the average yearly pay for permanent data analyst in the United States is $82,640.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $62,500.00 and $97,000.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What jobs pay 200,000 a year in the USA?

A permanent data analyst typically does not earn $200,000 annually; such high salaries are more common in executive roles, specialized data science positions, or senior management. High-paying data-related roles often require advanced skills, certifications, and extensive experience, especially in industries like finance, technology, or consulting. Salaries above $200,000 are more frequently seen in leadership positions or roles involving strategic decision-making and large-scale data projects.

Is 40 too late for data science?

A career as a data analyst or data scientist can be pursued at any age, including 40, as long as you develop relevant skills such as programming, statistics, and data visualization. Many professionals successfully transition into data roles later in their careers by gaining certifications or completing relevant training programs.

What jobs make $1,000,000 a year?

In the field of data analysis, earning $1,000,000 annually is rare and typically involves senior roles such as Chief Data Officer or data-focused executive positions in large corporations, often combined with bonuses, stock options, or profit sharing. High earnings may also result from entrepreneurship, consulting, or owning a data-driven business, but these are not standard roles for data analysts. Most data analysts earn significantly less, with top-tier salaries reaching high six figures in some cases, especially with extensive experience and specialized skills in tools like SQL, Python, or machine learning.

Both roles require similar skills and certifications, but differ mainly in employment type and work environment.

Is a data analyst a permanent job?

A data analyst position can be either permanent or temporary, depending on the employer and the specific role. Permanent data analyst jobs typically offer ongoing employment, benefits, and career growth opportunities, while contract or temporary roles are project-based and may have fixed durations. Many organizations seek permanent data analysts to support long-term data-driven decision-making.

  • Provide clear, reproducible analysis to help answer business questions for IVF centers and our product team
  • Collaborate with our product team to identify new application features that help IVF centers better understand their patient data
  • Act as data lead during customer implementations by maintaining clear documentation and timelines for data related workstreams
  • Partner directly with customers to understand current data structures, diagnose quality issues and set expectations on reporting capabilities.
  • Help define standards for clean data, documentation and identify opportunities for automation

Qualifications
