Job description

Wragth Motorsports is seeking a highly experienced Performance Technician with strong knowledge of GM LT/LS platforms. Experience with Ford and Dodge performance platforms is a major plus. This position is intended for a high mid-level technician to senior-level technician capable of working independently in a fast-paced performance environment.

We are looking for someone who is self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and capable of completing jobs correctly within allotted labor times without supervision. This is not an entry-level position.

Our shop specializes in high-performance late model GM, Ford, and Mopar vehicles, including engine builds, diagnostics, forced induction setups, drivability concerns, and aftermarket performance upgrades.

Requirements

  • Must have strong experience with GM LT and LS platforms
  • Experience with Ford Coyote/Predator and Dodge HEMI/TRX platforms is highly preferred
  • Must be able to perform jobs independently with little to no supervision
  • Must consistently complete tasks within allotted labor times
  • Must have experience with:
  • Engine removal and installation
  • Camshaft and valvetrain upgrades
  • Cylinder head installation
  • Timing procedures and cam degreeing
  • Supercharger and aftermarket performance installations
  • Advanced electrical diagnostics
  • Drivability diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Must own professional-grade tools
  • Must maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Must have strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair high-performance late model vehicles
  • Perform engine and drivetrain upgrades
  • Install aftermarket performance components
  • Conduct advanced electrical and drivability diagnostics
  • Perform quality control checks and ensure vehicles leave operating properly
  • Work alongside the team to solve complex performance and calibration-related issues
  • Maintain efficiency while delivering high-quality workmanship

Probationary Period

All candidates will undergo a mandatory 60-day probationary period to demonstrate competency, efficiency, and overall fit within the company.

  • Starting pay during probationary period will be based on experience
  • Final pay rate of $29–$32/hour will be determined after successful completion of probation
  • Candidate must demonstrate proficiency during the first week through a hands-on skills assessment
