Job description

French Ellison Truck Center, located in Corpus Christi, TX, is currently seeking a talented individual for a Body Shop Advisor position. This position is ideal for someone with related experience, effective communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. This is a great opportunity to join a growing and successful dealer group.
Primary Duties:
  • Create a positive initial contact with body shop customers
  • Ensure that all body shop phone calls are handled professionally and expediently
  • Work closely with shop foreman to schedule repairs
  • Perform additional duties as required by the Body Shop Manager
  • Perform all required tasks in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures
  • Send professional Estimates to include parts and labor to customers

Duties
  • Open work orders
  • Discuss service issues with customer and create an accurate description of customer's service problems and requests
  • Determine method of payment and explain payment requirements to customer before work commences
  • Maintain communication with customer as necessary during the repair process
  • Maintain complete knowledge of OEM and vendor warranties
  • Close repair orders
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Ability to work in a dealership environment with frequent exposure to weather elements
  • Willingness and ability to work up to 12 hours per day as required
  • Ability to sell body shop wor
  • Ability to work with customers in a variety of situations
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • Sufficient computer skills
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop and lift/move up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Ability to work in an environment to include 8-12 hour days, and flexibility to extend working hours when necessary
