Job description

About Us

At LegalOn, we're redefining how legal work gets done. Too often, legal teams are slowed down by repetitive, manual contracting tasks. We're eliminating that busywork, freeing people to think, decide, and lead their businesses forward.

As the global leader in legal AI for contracting, we serve over 7,500 companies and firms worldwide. Our software pairs cutting-edge AI with deep legal expertise to identify contract risks, make precise redlines, and organize contract data, eliminating hours of manual work that delays deals and increases risk.

We are building the most trusted and beloved brand in legal technology, and we want ambitious and driven individuals to join us. If you are eager to grow your career through performance, capability, and impact, you will thrive at LegalOn.

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on SEO & AEO Manager to own and scale LegalOn's organic and AI-driven discoverability. You will shape how LegalOn is found, understood, and recommended across traditional search engines and AI-powered search experiences.

This role offers broad ownership and strong visibility with leadership. You'll define and execute LegalOn's SEO and AEO strategy, improve website and content discoverability, and ensure LegalOn is accurately represented in AI-powered search.

Responsibilities
  • Own LegalOn's SEO & AEO strategyย across all products, features, and capabilities, ensuring strong discoverability in both traditional search engines and AI-driven answer engines.
  • Lead content and keyword strategy across the platform, identifying high-impact opportunities at the platform, product, and feature level while preventing cannibalization and fragmented authority.
  • Design and maintain scalable site and content architecture, including internal linking, page ownership, and structural decisions that support new products, features, and evolving capabilities over time.
  • Create and ship SEO-driven content, collaborating with internal subject-matter experts to produce accurate, authoritative content that builds LegalOn's credibility and earns AI citation.
  • Own LegalOn's off-site SEO and authority growth, including defining and executing backlink strategy, proactively identifying and securing high-quality link partners, driving earned links and brand mentions, and building presence in relevant community platforms (e.g., Reddit, Quora) that influence both search rankings and AI-generated answers.
  • Own website discoverability and technical SEO, ensuring strong crawlability, indexation, structured data, performance, and Core Web Vitals across LegalOn's web properties.
  • Build and evolve LegalOn's AEO playbook, defining best practices for content structure, FAQs, comparisons, and authority signals that improve AI citation quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Measure and report on performance, defining success for both SEO and AEO, tracking organic and AI-driven visibility, and connecting outcomes to business impact.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or a regulated industry, with ownership of complex, multi-product or evolving web environments.
  • Deep technical SEO expertise, including site architecture, crawl and index management, structured data, and performance optimization.
  • Strong understanding of AEO and AI-driven discovery, with experience optimizing for LLM-based search or a demonstrated ability to experiment and adapt in a rapidly changing landscape.
  • Creative and systems-oriented thinker, able to design scalable content, authority, and discovery strategies rather than relying on one-off optimizations.
  • Solid writing and editing ability, with experience drafting or refining SEO-driven content (e.g., landing pages, comparisons, FAQs, thought leadership) to improve clarity, authority, and AI citation.
  • Experience managing content and site complexity, such as migrations, consolidation, or the introduction of new products and capabilities.
  • Highly autonomous operator, comfortable setting priorities, executing independently, and driving work end-to-end.
  • Analytical and data-driven, with experience using SEO and analytics tooling to inform decisions despite imperfect or emerging metrics.
  • Familiarity with legal tech, legal services, or compliance-focused audiences strongly preferred.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation and equity.
  • Generous paid time off policies.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k)
  • Professional development opportunities.
