Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW: The SEO Manager will play a critical role in driving the organic growth of our website and online assets. This role will focus on optimizing our digital properties through local SEO, managing freelancers, conducting quarterly content audits, and overseeing a successful link-building strategy. The ideal candidate will be analytical, creative, and possess deep knowledge of SEO best practices, with a specific emphasis on healthcare or addiction treatment services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive keyword rankings and obtain free traffic from search engines that turn into phone calls

Local SEO Management:

  • Develop and execute local SEO strategies to improve visibility across multiple locations.
  • Optimize Google My Business (GMB) listings and other local directories to drive relevant, location-based traffic.
  • Work with regional teams to ensure all local SEO tactics are aligned with overall marketing goals.
  • Monitor and improve local rankings, reviews, and online reputation management.

Freelancer Management:

  • Manage and coordinate freelance SEO specialists, writers, and content creators to execute SEO strategies efficiently.
  • Oversee the workflow of freelancers to ensure they meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Provide ongoing training and resources to freelancers on SEO best practices, guidelines, and RCA's brand guidelines.

Quarterly Content Audits:

  • Conduct in-depth quarterly content audits to identify opportunities for SEO improvements.
  • Analyze on-page content, keyword usage, structure, and user experience to ensure alignment with current SEO best practices.
  • Work with the content team to update or create new content to improve SEO performance and meet user needs.
  • Implement findings from the audit to improve overall site architecture, metadata, and internal linking.

Link Building:

  • Develop and execute a link-building strategy to increase domain authority and improve search rankings.
  • Identify new backlink opportunities, including outreach to relevant sites in the healthcare, addiction recovery, and related industries.
  • Cultivate relationships with external partners to ensure consistent and high-quality backlinking.
  • Monitor backlink quality and ensure they align with Google's quality guidelines.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Use analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs to track, report, and optimize SEO performance.
  • Regularly report on SEO KPIs, keyword rankings, traffic growth, and conversion rates.
  • Use insights from analytics to recommend changes to SEO strategies and content development.

Collaboration & Strategy Development:

  • Work cross-functionally with the marketing, design, and development teams to ensure SEO strategies are aligned with overall marketing objectives.
  • Collaborate with the paid media team to ensure synergy between organic and paid search efforts.
  • Stay up to date on SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices, especially in the healthcare industry.

SKILLS AND EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in SEO, preferably with a focus on local SEO and healthcare or addiction recovery services.
  • Proven experience managing freelance teams or external resources.
  • Solid understanding of SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Google Analytics, Google Search Console).
  • Experience conducting content audits and optimizing content for SEO performance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This is a remote position.
