Position Summary
Senior Finance Manager executes bank strategy and operational goals through management of the Commercial Banking Division, such as budgeting & forecasting, trend analysis, pricing & profitability modeling & analytics, capital management, acquisition/divestiture scenario modeling, or financing & investment alternatives. Responsible for and overseeing the application of policies and procedures to ensure the Commercial Banking division meets all regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the Commercial Banking Division of financial responsibility, providing recommendations and executing initiatives to achieve strategic financial results.
- Conduct complex analysis as it applies to the Commercial Banking Division.
- Focus on one or more areas, such as budgeting & forecasting, trend analysis, pricing & profitability modeling & analytics, capital management, acquisition/divestiture scenario modeling, or financing & investment alternatives.
- Provide financial expertise to assist in the development and completion of projects and initiatives.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and communicate findings to business leaders, offering actionable recommendations for performance optimization.
- Actively participate in cross‑functional teams to ensure financial considerations are integrated into various business projects and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain financial models to assess the impact of business initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals.
- Develop specialized analytical tools for project or ongoing use and develop conclusions and courses of action to rectify discrepancies and analyses.
- Present reports and analysis to executive level management and auditors.
- Ensure all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: BS/BA Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field.
- Experience: 8+ years in Finance, with 5+ years in specific financial area of responsibility; Banking experience required.
- Reading & Writing: Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, procedures, business correspondence, reports, and memorandums.
- Analytical Skills: In‑depth knowledge of financial analysis, financial model‑building and interpretive statistics; practical knowledge of financial analysis techniques and methodologies.
- Project Management: Ability to plan, develop, lead, and execute projects; manage competing priorities effectively.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and consultative skills.
- Computer Skills: MS Office, expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI or other visualization experience.
- Other: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and organize, strong analytical and organizational skills.
