Performance Monitoring Remote information

What is Performance Monitoring in a remote work setting?

Performance Monitoring in a remote work setting involves tracking and assessing employees' productivity, work quality, and overall effectiveness while they work from locations outside of a traditional office. This typically includes using digital tools to monitor key performance indicators, project progress, and communication patterns to ensure goals are being met. It helps managers provide feedback, identify areas for improvement, and maintain accountability among remote teams. Effective performance monitoring can enhance transparency and support both employee growth and organizational objectives.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Performance Monitoring Remote professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Performance Monitoring Remote professional, you need strong analytical skills, understanding of system performance metrics, and often a background in IT or computer science. Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Datadog, New Relic, or Splunk, as well as relevant certifications like CompTIA Network+ or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, is typically required. Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and clear communication skills help you interpret data and collaborate with distributed teams. These skills ensure efficient system uptime, quick issue resolution, and optimal performance in remote environments.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in a Performance Monitoring Remote role, and how can they be addressed?

In a Performance Monitoring Remote role, professionals often face challenges such as managing large volumes of data from multiple sources, maintaining consistent communication with on-site teams, and quickly identifying performance issues without physical access to equipment. To address these, it’s helpful to leverage robust monitoring tools, establish clear communication protocols, and prioritize proactive alerting and reporting systems. Since pioneering our first mobile, solar-powered units, our commitment to scrappy, hands-on innovation has made us an established leader and one of the fastest-growing companies in intelligent site technology. We are building the next generation of solutions—from our physical units in the field to a powerful Agentic AI platform—that allows our customers to gain unprecedented visibility and control over safety, compliance, and operations. This is your chance to join a cutting-edge team that isn't just watching the world change, but actively building the technology that is changing it.

We're a team that's focused on growth and innovation, and we're proud that our crew, products, and leadership are being recognized for it.

  • A Top-Tier Growth Company: Named one of the Financial Times' Fastest Growing Companies 2025 and #10 on the Inc. 5000 Rocky Mountain Regional list for 2025.
  • Innovative Leadership: Our CEO, Ryan Porter, was named an EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2025, and our CTO, Steve Lindsey, was inducted into the Silicon Slopes CTO Hall of Fame in 2024.
  • Product & Software Excellence: We were named one of The Software Report's Top 100 Software Companies of 2023 and are a winner of the Security Today Govies Award for 2025.
ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a Strategic Account Manager focused on the Federal vertical, you will be at the forefront of LVT's mission to secure and optimize critical infrastructure. You will be responsible for navigating the complexities of government procurement, building high-level trust with federal agencies, and expanding our footprint within this vital vertical. This role requires a sophisticated blend of proactive hunting and long-term relationship management to ensure our AI-driven solutions are meeting the rigorous demands of national security and public service.

This role is available as a field-based remote position or can be based in-office out of our Headquarters in American Fork, Utah. You should expect regular travel of approximately 20-35% to engage with federal stakeholders and attend key industry events.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Federal Market Expansion: Proactively source, hunt, and secure new federal contracts to drive aggressive revenue growth within the government sector.
  • Strategic Relationship Management: Develop and sustain deep, long-term partnerships with key stakeholders and decision-makers across various federal agencies.
  • Account Growth & Upsell: Systematically identify opportunities to scale LVT's presence within existing federal accounts through technical alignment and mission-driven solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Solution Delivery: Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and deployment teams to ensure LVT solutions meet specific federal compliance and operational requirements.
  • Contract Lifecycle Leadership: Lead complex contract negotiations, renewals, and RFP responses, ensuring all agreements align with federal procurement regulations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on account health, pipeline accuracy, and revenue targets, utilizing data to pivot strategies as needed.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of federal policy changes, budget cycles, and the competitive landscape to position LVT as the premier intelligent site partner.
  • Mission Advocacy: Act as the primary internal voice for federal clients, ensuring their unique feedback directly influences our product roadmap and service standards.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • Proven Federal Expertise: At least 5+ years of experience in enterprise sales or account management specifically within the Federal/Government vertical.
  • Sales Hunter Mentality: A documented track record of meeting or exceeding multi-million dollar sales quotas through proactive lead generation and complex deal closing.
  • Navigate the Bureaucracy: Deep understanding of federal procurement processes, including GSA schedules, FAR regulations, and various contracting vehicles.
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to confidently articulate the value of AI, IoT, and cloud-based security hardware to both technical and non-technical government leaders.
  • Executive Presence: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to command a room of high-ranking officials or agency directors.
  • Relationship Architect: Natural ability to build rapport and maintain trust over long, multi-year sales cycles.
  • Strategic Thinker: Highly organized and self-motivated, with a knack for identifying "big picture" opportunities within dense government structures.
  • CRM Proficiency: Advanced skills in Salesforce or similar CRM tools to maintain a clean, actionable pipeline.
COMPENSATION

The beginning range for on-target-earnings (base salary plus variable) for this role is $345,000.00 - $375,000.00 USD and is determined by location, job-related experience, and education/training. You will become an owner from day one through our employee equity program.

BENEFITS

We believe you do your best work when your whole life is supported. We invest in our crew's health, families, and financial futures with a benefits package designed to support you inside and outside the office. Full-time benefits include, but not limited to: Comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage, retirement benefits (401k match up to 4%), and flexible PTO.
