Overview

The Performance Marketing Manager is responsible for the strategy, execution, optimization, and reporting of paid media programs that drive growth across KEEN's marketplace and digital direct businesses, with heavy focus on Amazon Marketplace management. This role manages channel performance, agency partners, and external vendors, translating data into actionable decisions that meaningfully improve efficiency and revenue outcomes. Reporting to the Sr. Acquisition Marketing Manager, this position works closely with KEEN's Direct to Consumer and PurePlay Sales teams to advance marketplace and digital direct growth through expert, data driven advertising execution. As KEEN's digital presence evolves, this role will expand its scope into additional performance channels supporting search presence and discoverability.


Responsibilities

  • Owns and evolves performance marketing execution ensuring alignment to business objectives, budget targets, and growth goals. Drives continuous optimization to improve efficiency, scalability, and return on investment.

  • Leads performance analysis and reporting, delivering clear, actionable insights through recurring presentations and deep-dive analyses. Translates complex data into strategic recommendations for cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.

  • Partners cross-functionally across DTC and marketplace businesses to align performance marketing initiatives with brand strategy, demand planning, merchandising, and onsite experience, ensuring cohesive execution across channels.

  • Leverages and optimizes marketing technology and SaaS platforms to improve campaign performance, measurement accuracy, and operational efficiency.

  • Contributes to and influences best practices across global teams, providing guidance on strategy, execution standards, and performance optimization.

  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for external agency partners and vendors supporting paid media execution.

  • Set clear performance expectations, manage deliverables, and hold partners accountable to results.

  • Evaluate agency output critically and provide strategic direction to ensure alignment with KEEN's goals and standards.


Reporting & Performance Analysis

  • Own reporting on key performance indicators including impressions, clicks, CTR, CPC, conversion rate, ROAS, ACOS, TACOS, and attributed revenue.

  • Develop and deliver performance reports that communicate results, trends, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Proactively identify performance drivers, risks, and optimization opportunities through ongoing analysis.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with the PurePlay Sales team to align advertising efforts with marketplace objectives, inventory considerations, promotional activity, and category priorities.

  • Collaborate with DTC, merchandising, and marketing teams to ensure campaign execution supports broader business goals.

  • Communicate performance insights and recommendations with clarity and confidence across functions and levels.


Channel & Industry Development

  • Serve as an internal expert on Amazon Channel, retail media trends, and marketplace best practices.

  • Drive testing initiatives and champion ideas that improve campaign performance and operational efficiency.

  • Expand expertise across performance channels as KEEN's digital presence and ambitions grow.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Analytics, or related field required.

  • Minimum five (5) years of hands-on experience in performance marketing, paid search, or digital advertising, with demonstrated progression in scope and responsibility.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Deep understanding of pureplay, amazon marketplace including campaign architecture, keyword targeting, match types, bidding strategies and merchandising best practices.

  • Proven experience managing external agency partners and vendors, including setting expectations and driving accountability.

  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to synthesize data into strategic recommendations.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.

  • Preferred Qualifications


    • Significant hands-on experience with Amazon Marketplace or retail media platforms.

    • Deep familiarity with marketplace or eCommerce business models.

    • Experience with bid management, reporting, or campaign automation tools.

    • Proficiency with reporting and visualization platforms such as Power BI.

    • Expert-level understanding of marketplace metrics including ROAS, ACOS, TACOS, and share of voice.

The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and location.
