Center Director – Mathnasium of Florence

Who We Are
Across North America and around the world, Mathnasium Learning Centers help students understand, master, and love math through the proven Mathnasium Method™.
At Mathnasium of Florence, success means more than stronger math skills. We build confidence, reduce frustration, and create an environment where students feel supported, families feel valued, and trust grows through exceptional service and relationships.
Why Work With Us
We care deeply about both our students and our team.
As a locally owned center, we offer a supportive, collaborative, and flexible work environment where talented people can grow professionally while maintaining balance in their lives.
We offer:
  • A rewarding leadership opportunity to positively impact the lives of K–12 students and families
  • Competitive compensation including a $47,500 base salary plus performance-based commission (Center Directors typically earn $7,500+ annually in additional compensation based on center performance)
  • Paid time off and meaningful scheduling flexibility
  • Ongoing training in education, leadership, communication, sales, and management best practices
About the Role
This is a relationship-driven leadership role with a strong focus on center growth.
The ideal candidate is personable, organized, growth-minded, and an exceptional communicator who naturally builds trust with students, parents, and staff while taking ownership of results.
Success in this role comes from delivering an exceptional family experience, developing a strong team, building community relationships, and growing the center through trust, service, and consistent follow-through.
This role blends educational leadership, consultative sales, team development, community outreach, and day-to-day operations. You should feel confident with K–12 math concepts (through Algebra I), though you do not need to be a mathematician.
Schedule & Availability
This role follows a school-year schedule designed around student and family needs and is not a traditional 9–5 position.
Typical school-year center hours include:
  • Monday–Thursday: 1:00 PM – 7:30 PM
  • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Fridays and Sundays: typically off
Mathnasium operates year-round, including an active summer season. Summer schedules may differ from the school-year schedule to reflect student needs and program demands.
While the role offers meaningful flexibility and work-life balance, Center Directors should be comfortable with occasional schedule adjustments to support school partnerships, community events, family outreach, staff development, or center growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Student & Family Experience
  • Build strong relationships with students and families through excellent communication and outstanding customer service
  • Deliver an exceptional parent experience through proactive communication, responsiveness, empathy, and professionalism
  • Administer student assessments, identify learning gaps, and develop personalized learning plans
  • Foster a safe, encouraging, and professional learning environment
Leadership & Team Development
  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule, coach, and develop instructional staff
  • Lead and motivate team members while cultivating a positive, accountable, and growth-oriented center culture
  • Maintain high standards while balancing multiple leadership responsibilities
Center Growth & Operations
  • Drive center growth through relationship-building, consultative sales, strong communication, and an exceptional family experience
  • Build relationships with parents, schools, and community organizations to increase awareness, trust, and enrollment
  • Monitor performance metrics including enrollment, student success, retention, parent satisfaction, and profitability
  • Oversee day-to-day center operations and seek opportunities to strengthen center performance
Qualifications
We are especially interested in candidates who are:
  • Personable, organized, proactive, and growth-minded
  • Exceptional communicators who build trust with children, parents, and staff
  • Comfortable with relationship-building, consultative sales, and community engagement
  • Passionate about mentoring others and helping students grow in confidence and academic success
  • Confident in math through Algebra I
  • Eager to learn and grow professionally
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Leadership, management, customer service, relationship management, or consultative sales experience preferred
  • Familiarity with local schools, neighborhoods, and community networks in the Northern Kentucky area is a plus
All applicants are required to complete a math literacy assessment, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.
