Service Development Specialist is a trusted advisor for the Strategic Accounts Manager Team and customer base. They work to optimize the customer experience and maintains a comprehensive understanding of Ritchie Bros. offerings, systems, and processes while enabling sales growth through the creation, enhancement, and execution of business processes.

  • Relevant work experience 0-2 years: 
  • High-profile customer engagement 
  • Sales effectiveness 
  • Project management 
  • Understanding of legally binding contractual language and terminology. 
  • Advanced level understanding of MS Office and Adobe products: Import/export of data, mail merge 
  • Excel: Troubleshooting, conditional formatting, data referencing, charts, pivot tables, slicers, and advanced filtering. Dashboard creation. Protected workbooks. Formula creation (ie. vlookup, xlookup, sumifs, absolute referencing). 
  • PowerPoint: creation of presentations 
  • Outlook: create address books, groups, auto-response, mail rules, shared mailbox, calendar, and task management SharePoint: navigation and functionality 
  • Teams: chat functions, calls, & meetings 
  • Professional office work environment 
  • comfort with AI assisted data analysis and using AI tools to automate workflows
  • Travel requirement: Overnight, multiple modes of travel will be required up to 15% of the time
  • Work closely with the Strategic Accounts Manager Team to retain relationships and build customer loyalty through an optimized customer experience. 
  • Identify and escalate new revenue streams through the Ritchie Bros Service Matrix. 
  • Collaborate with the Product Development Teams and evaluate product enhancements and processes to maintain competitive advantages. 
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Advanced Seller Services, including Rouse tools and RB Inspection Services, and ensuring all organizational / operational tasks are completed according to company standards. 
  • Flexible and willing to perform other tasks as assigned

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographical location, etc. This role also qualifies for up to 5% of their annual salary in an incentive performance bonus.
