Community Music Center of Boston seeks a Development and Events Coordinator to join its high-performing advancement team at an exciting juncture in the organization's trajectory. Now in the final year of the successful $20 million Valuing All Voices capital campaign, CMCB will be building on our campaign's momentum as we open our flagship new facility in Roxbury's Nubian Square in early 2027 (read more about our expansion HERE).

In all events, this role is a key player in bringing to life many festive occasions, fostering engagement with CMCB's work among donors, participants, elected officials, civic leaders, and more.

The Development and Events Coordinator also supports donor services and development operations, effectively stitching together ongoing fundraising efforts and public events-a primary onramp for interested supporters.

This position is an excellent opportunity for an early career professional with experience in event planning/production, nonprofit fundraising, community development, or other related arts and business skills. An ideal candidate will be able to seamlessly align CMCB's many activities and mission-driven offerings with the interests and engagement of donors and civic leaders.

Like all roles at CMCB, there is investment in professional development training and mentorship from senior staff, as well as opportunities to supervise participants in the CMCB youth employment program.
