Job Summary:

The Collateral Perfection Specialist is responsible for performance of support duties related to collateral perfection for consumer and commercial loans. These tasks include necessary processes to maintain active and perfected mortgages, EFS, titles, and liens on all collateral types. This position must always stay aware of and adhere to established policies and procedures to ensure alignment with bank, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Place, work and maintain all appropriate ticklers.
  • Responsible for reviewing and assembling loan documents required in order to file perfection documents to secure the Bank’s collateral timely and accurately.
  • Maintain all collateral documents in compliance with Bank and regulatory requirements.
  • Process payoffs timely and accurately.
  • Release collateral on paid notes in accordance to state regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate high standards for quality, quantity and a high concentration level for protecting the loan assets of the bank.
  • Work with a sense of urgency; seek out and adapt to best practices; seek constant improvement motivated by personal and departmental goals.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned.
