Job description

Commercial HVAC Service Technician – Columbus, OH

Perfection Group is hiring an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our Columbus team. If you take pride in solving complex problems, delivering excellent service, and helping others succeed, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

You’ll work with respected commercial, industrial, and institutional customers while receiving the tools, support, compensation, and development needed to build a lasting career.

What You’ll Do:

  • Service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, rooftop units, split systems, and heat pumps
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and controls-related issues and recommend effective solutions
  • Perform preventive maintenance and identify concerns before they become costly failures
  • Communicate clearly with customers about equipment conditions, recommended repairs, and next steps
  • Manage service calls independently while coordinating with dispatch and operations
  • Complete service documentation accurately and on time
  • Participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule
  • Share knowledge and provide guidance to less-experienced technicians
  • Work safely and represent Perfection Group professionally at every customer location

What We’re Looking For:

  • Five or more years of commercial or industrial HVAC service experience
  • Universal EPA Section 608 certification
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across a variety of HVAC systems
  • Experience servicing chillers, boilers, and complex commercial equipment strongly preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
  • Professional customer and team communication
  • Dependability, personal accountability, and a team-first mindset
  • Commitment to safe, accurate, high-quality work
