Job description

Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Louisville, KY

Perfection Group is hiring skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technicians to support our Louisville team.

We’re looking for experienced technicians who take pride in solving problems, communicating well with customers, and delivering safe, high-quality work. You’ll service a variety of commercial and industrial HVAC systems while receiving paid drive time, a company vehicle, major tools, and continued technical training.

What You’ll Do
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including chillers, boilers, rooftop units, split systems, and heat pumps
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls-related issues
  • Identify necessary repairs, obtain replacement parts, and calibrate equipment according to manufacturer recommendations
  • Explain equipment conditions, repair needs, and recommended solutions clearly to customers
  • Perform preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
  • Travel to customer locations throughout Louisville and the surrounding service area
  • Coordinate with dispatch and communicate schedule changes or delays promptly
  • Document service calls, repairs, and resolutions accurately using company software
  • Participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, company vehicle, tools, and assigned equipment
  • Build positive working relationships with customers, leadership, and teammates
  • Participate in company- and vendor-provided training
You May Be a Great Fit If You
  • Have three to five years of commercial or industrial HVAC service and repair experience
  • Understand commercial HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and controls systems
  • Are comfortable servicing chillers, boilers, rooftop units, split systems, and heat pumps
  • Diagnose equipment problems accurately and develop practical, effective solutions
  • Communicate clearly, consistently, and professionally with customers, dispatch, leadership, and teammates
  • Build trust through technical expertise, sound judgment, and dependable follow-through
  • Work independently while remaining connected and accountable to the team
  • Take ownership of your schedule, documentation, vehicle, tools, and customer commitments
  • Take pride in completing safe, accurate, high-quality work
  • Remain calm and dependable when responding to urgent customer needs
  • Hold a Universal EPA Section 608 certification
  • Hold a valid Kentucky Journeyman HVAC Mechanic license
  • Have completed an accredited HVAC technical or trade-school program
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
