National Kids Gym has been teaching beginner gymnastics since 2012. We are a small family owned business that is excited to continuing growing. NKG has been recognized by Philadelphia Family for the "Best Gymnastics Classes" for 5 years in a row.
We are looking for a dedicated employee that wants to grow with us! Our coaches have a voice and we want them to bring their knowledge and expertise to our team. Bonus if you have an entrepreneurial spirit and would like to learn the ins and out of running a small business.

Responsibilities:

Gymnastics Instruction: Lead active, age-appropriate gymnastics lessons that capture the attention and enthusiasm of 18 months to 8-year-olds.
Energetic Engagement: Infuse each session with high energy and creativity to keep young children motivated. Use music, games, and props to make learning gymnastics a joyful experience (all props and equipment provided).
Adaptability: Tailor lessons to fit the developmental stages and needs of different age groups. Think on your feet to adapt depending on how the children show up each day.
Safety and Supervision: Maintain a safe and trusted environment, ensuring child safety at all times.
Communication: Provide feedback and updates to parents or caregivers on their child's progress and development.
Equipment and Space Management: Set up, maintain, and store gymnastics equipment appropriately. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the gymnastics area. Must be able to transport a set of equipment (provided by NKG) in personal vehicle.
Record Keeping: Keep records of attendance, progress, and any specific needs or concerns for individual children. Provide reports and assessments to parents as needed.
Qualifications:

  • Energetic and motivating personality.
  • Experience working with young children in a coaching setting, specifically gymnastics or cheer, or physical education.
  • Knowledge of child development.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and connect with young children in a positive and nurturing manner.
  • First aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Reliable transportation for travel to various locations and transport equipment in personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement is provided for equipment transport).
Working Conditions:

  • This position is mobile, and the coach will travel to different locations, including preschools, daycares, and community centers in Philadelphia and surrounding areas (ie. Manayunk, Ardmore, Berwyn, etc.).
  • Availability to work mornings and late afternoons Monday through Friday, to accommodate children's school schedules.
  • Physically demanding, as it involves active participation in gymnastics sessions with young children.
