Job description

About Us
Private events and catering can significantly increase restaurant and event space revenue, but many venues are stuck using outdated, error-prone manual processes - unlike the sophisticated software employed by large chains. Perfect Venue is leveling the playing field by offering local restaurants and venues an affordable, user-friendly, event management tool to help local them compete with big chains. This is just the start, with plans to expand into a broader marketplace that includes other event services (DJs, florists, etc).
As the Founding Recruiter at Perfect Venue, you will play a pivotal role in building the future of our team. You'll take ownership of the entire recruiting lifecycle, from building talent pipelines and crafting exceptional candidate experiences to collaborating closely with leadership on hiring strategy and culture development. As one of the first people in this role, you'll help define and scale our recruiting processes, champion our employer brand, and influence our internal people operations.
We're looking for a driven and strategic recruiting professional who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment. You should be excited about working cross-functionally, innovating on systems and processes, and making a lasting impact on the team's growth and the company culture.
This is a hybrid role based out of our office in San Francisco.
Responsibilities
  • Attract & recruit world-class talent across all functions using outbound sourcing, referrals, and creative strategies. This role is fully outbound.
  • Develop and refine the candidate experience, ensuring every candidate interaction reflects our values and high standards.
  • Build and promote our employer brand to attract top-tier talent via social channels, events, and content.
  • Partner with hiring managers to scope roles, create job descriptions, and guide them through effective hiring processes.
  • Advise on hiring priorities and ensure strategic alignment between team needs and recruitment efforts.
  • Continuously improve hiring operations, including interview processes, tools, documentation, and analytics.
  • Contribute to building and nurturing our company culture, helping to ensure we scale with intention and care.
  • Support HR processes including onboarding, performance reviews, employee engagement, and spend tracking.

Requirements
  • 3+ years experience in recruiting or talent acquisition, ideally at high-growth startups or strong recruiting agencies.
  • Proven track record of filling high-impact roles across a range of departments.
  • Deep understanding of full-cycle recruiting and sourcing strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build trust across teams.
  • Experience using ATS and recruiting tools (e.g., Ashby, Greenhouse, Gem, etc.).
  • Passion for company culture and people development.
  • Ability to work independently and drive projects forward in a fast-paced environment.

What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation including meaningful equity you'll actually be able to use.
  • Medical, vision, and dental coverage with paid premiums for you, and cost-sharing for dependents.
  • Flexible PTO & 401(k) to support balance and long-term savings.
  • Complimentary One Medical membership for you and your family.
  • Tight-knit team and strong access to leadership, including direct collaboration with the CEO.

Perfect Venue is committed to building a winning team
