Job description

POSITION TITLE: Percussion Instructor                                                                             
LOCATION: High School
POSITION GOAL: Provide an organized activity so as to provide participants personal growth opportunity for achievement
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



Owen J. Roberts is looking to fill the year round position of percussion instructor immediately. 

These duties would include working with the marching band as the lead instructor of the battery throughout the summer and fall.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Ability to work with all types of students in an inclusive environment and coordinate with both staff, parent and community volunteers.
  2. Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
  3. Pleasant, cooperative and positive work attitude.
  4. Good communication skills to interact with other staff, parents, and community volunteers.
  5. Have the ability to perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  6. Submission of PA School Personnel Health form.
  7. Current Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 clearances.

 TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  1. Per REA Agreement for the 2026-2027 school year- 3 units
  2. Annual assignment appointed by the Board of School Directors as recommended by Administration.
  3. According to the School District Policy Manual (available online at www.ojrsd.com).
